Shard Construction
All prints measure: H 56 cm x W 42 cm. These measurements include the size of image and paper boarder) See exception: yellow/red colour way.
Yellow/red: H 56 cm x 38 cm This includes the mount 5cm, 6cm at base)
During my commute from East Dulwich to London Bridge, I documented the development of one of London’s most iconic buildings, ‘The Shard.’ For the duration of the build, I documented its evolving shape. It seemed to almost change form on a monthly basis. The pioneering method of building up and down at the same time ensured the speedy completion of the building!
This is the first Shard lino cut print within the series. Initially I produced a one layer grey print and then saw the potential for it to be printed in 2 separate layers using bright colour combinations.
