Tower of London - red sea forms part of a series inspired by Paul Cummins and Tom Piper’s poppy installation, in recognition of those who lost their lives in the first world war. These ceramic poppies outside the Tower of London formed an interesting juxtaposition with the contemporary Shard in the background. In 2014 there was an amazing ceramic installation of red poppies at the Tower of London. Artists Paul Cummins and Tom Piper, created 888,246 poppies. To remember those that lost their life in the first world war. The imagery was too impactful not to be captured. This image also is part of the London Urban Landscape Card pack that is being created for August 2020.
