Tree Tunnel

£340.00

Tree tunnels are a characteristic feature of the landscape at the back of Dorking - Surrey Hills.

I always feel as if I’m entering a mystical world when driving through these holloways - many of which are ancient.

This reduction linocut is a tribute to my late Mum used to love the ‘Tree tunnels’ when she visited us for holidays. I’m sure we have them in New Zealand, however they are certainly not as ancient nor as impressive.

The print celebrates the holloway in all it’s midsummer glory, when the tree foiliage is very dense and only a small glimpse of the sky is evident.

The print is a varied edition, 5 of the prints have a dark brown final layer and the other 15 have a charcoal blue final layer. They measure H: 50 × 34 cm (including paper boarder)

Please note, these prints are freshly printed, therefore they will not be available to send until 21 July.
